GENERAL QUESTIONS


• HOW MANY YEARS I SHOUID BE IN ORDEN TO HAVE A BOAT

Under Greek law, you must be over 18 years of age.



• WE NEED A DIPLOMA TO REMOVE THE BOAT

Yes. You must have a diploma similar to the type of yacht you want to rent sailing or motorized. You will be asked to show it before the ship leaves. You may be required to prove your navigation abilities with respect to the safety of the ship and its occupants.You will need two diplomas to rent without a captain or a diploma and a responsible maritime knowledge statement.



• IF I DO NOT HAVE DIPLOMA WHAT I CAN DO

If you do not have navigation license, you can only rent a boat if you hire a captain with separate daily charge, or vessel provided with captain only to the same charge.



• WHAT TO KNOW IF I AM NOT EXPERIENCED

If you do not have experience to navigate a boat it is good to hire a professional captain. Beware of alcohol before and after sailing. Travel the day and before sunset to stay at a safe night's sleep. When approaching a harbor, enter low speed and attention to the other vessels. From any bathers, keep a safe distance of at least one hundred meters.



• MULTIPLE PERSONS CAN BE TRANSPARED ON THE BOAT

• How long does it take to rent a boat ?

Diamond Yachting has implemented easy procedures on the site through which step by step guides you to complete the rental of the boat. First you choose the boat you like, set dates and people, request availability and make a reservation. The proof of detention will be sent to you for the payment to complete the booking as well as the password to enter your account. When you make your reservation, our company will automatically create your account.



• HOW TO MAKE A BOOK

Once you have received the ship's approval for availability by email, click the link for payment and the reservation will be made.



• WHEN WE ARE SUCCESSFUL-THAT My Reservation Is Active

By completing the booking you will receive a rental confirmation from the shipowner.



• AMOUNT BEFORE I HAVE A BOOK

Usually as early as you make the booking you will have a better price due to discounts offered by the shipowners. In a full season you should immediately be detained because of a variety of requests.



• WHEN DURING THE TRAVEL IS A SINGLE ACCIDENT WHAT DO I WILL DO ?

• FUEL AND WATER INCLUDED IN PRICE

No, neither fuel nor water is included in the price. The boat will be given you full of tanks. You have to deliver it on your return when you return, full of the same amount. Usually before the check out the owner will refill the tanks and the cost will be paid by the charterer. If you are given the owner's approval, you should be aware that if damage is incurred, the guarantee will be retained and the cost of the final cleaning will be charged differently.



• I MUST LOVE FILODORIMY IN THE CREW

Advice to the crew is exclusively at the discretion of the company. Typically, a tip is calculated between 5% and 15% of the reservation and is optional given that the crew offered excellent service to your company. However, it is important to be aware that your company has no obligation to leave a tip and in no case can it be requested by the crew, either verbally or in writing when the final account is settled.



• I CAN AVAIL WIFI ON THE BOAT

Yes. If applicable, you can request and use it at a charge specified by the manager. The cost is usually listed in the extras.



ECONOMIC QUESTIONS PAYMENT CANCELLATIONS


• WHAT ARE THE PAYMENTS ?

Diamond Yachting has an electronic payment system where it accepts payment by any debit or credit card. Alternatively you can pay by wire transfer or transfer by requesting IBAN of our bank account.



• MY TRANSACTION IS SAFE IF I FILL THROUGH SITE

All transactions made through the site are secure to PCI standards that do not store card details, transferring customers to secure payment pages.


 

• WHEN CAN I CANCEL BOOKING AND WHAT COST

In order to cancel your booking you must notify Diamond Yachting in writing through your account. Cancellation is made at any time and in accordance with the ship owner's shipping terms accepted at the time of booking. If the cancellation is made within 24 hours of the start of the reservation you will get a full refund of the money you paid. After the 24-hour deadline, the ship's cancellation policy will apply. If this cancellation agreement is not reflected in the rental agreement, Diamondy's 6 "cancellation policy"  will apply.



• I HAVE TIME MARGIN TO REMOVE MY BOOK WITHOUT COST

Once you have booked this reservation is considered active. The cancellation margin is 24 hours for a refund. Consult the boat's terms of cancellation and shipping terms.



• THE PRICE I SEE IS THE PRICE TO FILL

Yes the price displayed on the site is the total rental price and includes all taxes. You will not be charged in addition to the additional optional services you request.


 

• WHEN YOU MUST PAY PAYMENT

The deposit for the rental is 50% and is paid by the reservation. Redemption with the remaining 50% is 30 days prior to check-in. For bookings made less than 30 days after check-in, you prepay the full amount of the rent. In the event of a collapse, the payment deadline is set at 24 hours from the time of reservation, otherwise the reservation is non-native and is canceled.



• PAYMENT PROOF SHALL BE MADE

You can request proof from the shipowner after confirmation of the reservation but as a rule check-in or check-out and subject to the payment of the fare.



• WHAT INCLUDES RENTAL PRICE

In general the rental price includes

-the boat

-clothes-towels

- Marina fees at the boat's base after departure and return.

• WHAT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE RENTAL PRICE

Does not include mandatory additional charges like

-the cost of Fuel

-the cost of Water

-the Guarantee

-The dock dues at your marina during your trip

-Feeding the captain and the crew if they exist

-Food and beverage supplies

-The final cleaning of the boat according to the policy of each boat company as stated on the boat's page.

-Every additional optional extra charge such as captain or crew pay if applicable, auxiliary boat, auxiliary machine, additional marine equipment, fishing equipment, sea toys etc. are charged separately.

• THE BOAT IS INSURED

All professional vessels under Greek law have compulsory insurance, which is borne by the ship owner. The insurance covers

-Civil liability for Body Damage, Material Damage and Marine Pollution.

Most ship owners have mixed insurance for total disaster with an exemption of an amount that varies from vessel to boat. You can consult the terms of insurance in the records of the Insurance Policy Contract.



• I MUST HAVE ANOTHER TYPE OF INSURANCE

-Safety skipper

-Guarantee Security Reduction

-Security cancellation

-Security cancellation due to weather conditions



• WHAT IS THE A.P.Α ?

In the case of hiring a boat with special and high requirements such as motor yachts or super yachts, charterers are liable for the future operating costs of the A.P.A. (Advance Provisioning Allowance) for which the shipowner is responsible and defines them in the vessel's registration form. A.P.A is usually 20% to 30% of the rental and is fully paid into the shipyard or captain's account in accordance with his instructions before check-in. It represents the advance covering of operating costs for the variable part of the rental costs and serves to cover the various costs incurred in connection with the feeding, navigation and mooring of the rented vessel.



• WHAT IS THE GUARANTEE ?

In addition to the fares, you will have to pay a financial guarantee prior to the ship's departure to the owner of the ship when the boat is provided without a captain. The warranty covers damage and losses that may occur during the use of the boat and are not paid by the insurance due to the exemption contained in all boat insurance policies. It can also cover the customer's failure or refusal to deliver the boat with a full fuel and water tank as it had received it or not deliver it clean or deliver it to another port outside the base. The amount varies depending on the vessel. The amount of the guarantee is paid by card or cash from you and is refunded by the shipowner upon return and inspection of the vessel.



• IS THE RIGHTS OF THE BOAT MANAGER CANCELING MY BOOK IF I HAVE FULFILLED THE BORROWING OR TOTAL SHIP ?

The trustee may cancel the rental only in the event of force majeure due to extreme weather conditions or damage to the particular vessel. If the second fault occurs, it must replace it with another vessel of the same specification. If this is not feasible, it must return all the fares you have paid and according to the terms of charter you have accepted.



• WHAT IS THE COST OF COPENHAGEN

The captain of the vessel shall be charged in addition to the vessel. Usually the daily cost is between 100 and 200 euros, and you can see it in the pricing of each boat.
